Writer, educator, musician.
Nicholas Rys is a writer and musician living in central New York. He teaches composition and creative nonfiction courses at Syracuse University, and runs independent creative writing workshops online. His fiction has appeared in or is forthcoming from The Antioch Review, Lake Effect, Indiana Review, the Heavy Feather Review, and others. His author interviews and book reviews have been published by the Brooklyn Rail, Mid-American Review, The Rumpus, and more. He holds an MFA in Fiction from Bowling Green State University. He makes music under the name Hill Crest Drive that has been featured in the award-winning short films of Kelly Gallagher.
